Commonwealth Bank
Commonwealth Bank are a Bronze Level Corporate Member of Qrtsa and in August 2005 they announced a new EFTPOS deal for Qrtsa Members.
Starting at 0.86% this would have to represent one of the most competitive rates in the market today. Further, depending on the turnover of your business you could receive EFTPOS rates as low as 0.66%.

Fuel
Qrtsa has made purchasing fuel easier and cheaper with discounts at Ampol, Caltex and Shell outlets. Qrtsa fuel cards enable you to obtain discounted fuel - for private or business use throughout Australia. By using the Qrtsa fuel card scheme you can track fuel usage and the GST easily - with one account issued each month to cover all your fuel usage.
For each outlet type (Shell, Ampol/Caltex) participating members receive a plastic card (for each vehicle). The registration numbers of each vehicle are embossed on the card for added security.
Simply swipe your card when purchasing fuel. That purchase is then billed to your account by completion of a voucher or billed automatically using the magnetic data stripe on the card (similar to EFTPOS).
Participating members receive a monthly statement detailing all fuel purchases from all each company (itemised by vehicle).
You can register all your vehicles, both work and private, and save every time you fill up. You can also extend the privilege to your key personnel as an added incentive to better work performance.
For added security fuel can only be charged to the account when the vehicle registration matches the vehicle details on the card. The discounts on regular, unleaded and diesel fuel are:
Shell: 0.5c per litre off wholesale price for regular, unleaded and diesel *
Ampol/Caltex: 1c per litre off the pump price.

Leasing
One of the most important documents a retailer may sign is their shop lease. After wages, rent costs for most retail business categories should be the second highest expense (stock purchases aside) and in many shopping centres, they are often the biggest expense. Yet many retailers simply sign their lease and file it away. A lease with reasonable security of tenure, and occupancy costs is an asset to a business. The opposite applies if there is no tenure or opportunity to renew, or rent costs and other terms are onerous for business opportunity.
