SOME RECENT ISSUES IN THE HARDWARE SECTOR:

• The impact on the sector of the major hardware retail chain stores continues to be of major concern. The Retailers Association works with our independent hardware retail members to lobby government on matters including the tactic of creeping acqusitions by the major retail chains, in an attempt to reduce competition and dominate the market and in effect control pricing structures.
