SOME RECENT ISSUES IN THE FASHION & CLOTHING SECTOR:

• The sector has experienced a noticable downturn on the back of recent drops in consumer and business confidence and higher interest rates. Discretionary spending patterns of consumers have changed and The Retailers Association continues to lobby government regarding policy measures required to provide the economic stimulis needed by the sector at this time.
